This scamdemic has apparently made it hard to find these things, and the price has seemingly doubled.

5lb and larger as well, up to 30 lb

-Whats a good brand, pref USA made?

Flame King is the only brand that is even remotely everywhere, made in Thailand.

Not sure if it's related, but even the little Coleman camping fuel cylinders were hard to find in the summer and fall.

Just got one at HD. Try Tractor Supply also. They sell the cheapest propane around these parts.

A lot of the Ace hardware stores around here will do a refill on your tanks

I haven't had a problem finding cylinders for the grill since the whole coof popped off, but I wouldn't be surprised if a lot of them are now occupied by outdoor heaters in restaurants struggling to make it by.

When we had our wedding back in October, there were almost no heaters in the entire rental network, so I imagine a lot of propane is tied up there.

Check the local Facebook community pages. Ask there and you'll get ten people offloading tanks that they dont need any longer.

Last week I saw a guy ask for 20lb grill tanks and he got three of them for free within an hour... even if its old or out of date the tank exchange (blue rhino) takes them and sand blasts them and recertifies them.

The son-in-law operates a propane refill station that he took over from his mom that has been in operation for almost 40 years. Since this bug and winter arrived here in south Louisiana his business has really increased since several resturants have him set up for multible bottles refills every day or two as well as the normal customers. He is able to acquire new bottles of all sizes as well as turning away out of date bottles and sells new replacements. Have seen several customers come back and buy a new bottle after they realize nobody would fill the out of date bottles. Wish you the best in your quest for propane bottles. ........................................ drill sgt.

Several years ago I picked up four or five 20ld tanks for free off Craigslist. Out of date tanks I exchange at Wally World because they just don't give a shit.
