How fricking annoying. The pre-video ads have been more and more frequent and longer, but now they also play ads in the middle of videos.

Been that way for several years now. (And by "several", I want to say 5+ years...)

Usually every ~5-10 minutes, there's an ad. Seems to depend somewhat on the channel, with some channels running ads more frequently than others.

I never watch YouTube in an app because of ads. Watching in a browser with an Ad blocker stops all the ads. It's the only way to watch without getting angry.

YouTube Red is $12.99/mo and removes all ads. Also let’s you save videos for offline viewing (great for flying).

Or you could get a youtube video downloader for the price of two months with forever updates.

"It did not really matter what we expected from life, but rather what life expected from us. We needed to stop asking about the meaning of life, and instead to think of ourselves as those who were being questioned by life – daily and hourly. Our answer must consist not in talk and meditation, but in right action and in right conduct. Life ultimately means taking the responsibility to find the right answer to its problems and to fulfill the tasks which it constantly sets for each individual." Viktor Frankl, Man's Search for Meaning, 1946.

It is annoying but I still watch a lot of videos.
Great stuff on vegetable plants and gardening tips.
It is better than your news shows on t v.
You have the option to skip the add in 4 seconds.

YouTube Red subscription also gives you Google Play Music (Google owns YouTube)--unlimited music streaming from a library that actually has music you would want to listen to.

The integration between YouTube and Google is pretty good--I can tell my Google Home device to play music on the Living Room Chromecast, and it will pick a playlist from YouTube Red and play music through my stereo while displaying the music video on my Television.

The upgraded family plan for Youtube Red is $15 a month, and you can share it with members of your family.
