I am watching this new show on Showtime
Lock-N-Load and am finding that the tool that's the star in my opinion is the worst poster child possible for a Gun Dealer..Pointing guns at people and playing grab ass in the gun store is unreal. They literally have a woman making a straw purchase and he acts as if he could give a shit...She was turned down because of a criminal record. Anyway the gun store is just outside of Denver Colorado and it in my opinion portrays guns and gun owners as being radical. It's not all bad but I don't like the general attitude that's portrayed.

Well, if they showed a gunshop that wasn't operated by a chucklehead it wouldn't make very good TV, I guess.

And seriously, there are PLENTY of gunshops that ARE operated by chuckleheads...

That's why it's on Showtime. It's put up by anti-gunners for propaganda.
Seriously, who would watch a show about most real world gun shop transactions? It's like watching golf or porno, boring unless you're the one participating in it, putting the ball in the hole.

I beleive it is absolutely driven by someone's agenda. I cannot see one positive thing coming from that show concerning shooting sports.

I was at a local shop last Saturday and a couple was turned down for the purchase of an AK. First the man, and then his woman. They walked out like they couldn't believe it happened. I like the shop and didn't want to make a scene, so I kept my big mouth shut. Once they were gone I asked what was up. I know the guys after my extensive purchases and they said there were multiple restraining orders on both parties. if you saw these two beauties you wouldn't have been surprised. I'm not surpised that you can make reality TV out of this.

I guess when the 1st one was turned down it didn't throw up a flag to the person at the gun shop when the 2nd wanted to try that THIS IS A STRAW PURCHASE AND A FELONY...What an asshole.

Sorry, but recently I have been witness to a few dumb fucking moves on the part of gun owners and it pisses me off . I value my right to own guns and anyone that puts my rights at risk by doing dumb shit is an asshole. Mad

The "chucklehead" is an aspiring actor and the show was/is his idea. I have no idea if he ever worked in a gunstore, or this gunstore, prior to his making of the pilot for this series.

I certainly see that but the owners of " The Shootest " should know that when gun laws become more strict they are part of the problem allowing this shit to be filmed in their store.

Just like asshats at Gun shows selling guns to felons via straw purchases.... We have to police our own and I don't want to be associated with these F'n Morons.

This show has been a big disappointment for me as well.

I thought that it could have been used for educational purposes. For example, a guy comes into buy a gun. Chucklehead then takes him though what caliber and kind of gun to get. Then, guy has to complete Form 4473, and Grandma has to call it in to NICS. Another situation would be where a guy from another state, e.g., Nevada, walks in and wants to buy a handgun. Chucklehead then explains the nonresident state rules to him. To me, it would be great to educate the public on how all this works.

Instead, we have illegal alien and white trash central. And what's up with having Granny shoot a .45 last night? It was clearly too much gun for her.

They should do some sort of candid camera version of this show at the Bass Pro Shop in Harrisburg. I was in to see if they had any handgun ammo (they didn't)and happened to hear this really fat clerk telling a hot chick who wanted to see a S&W 642 that she didn't want that. Instead she should buy a 45 because the 38 spl, and 9mm failed the FBI during the Miami Shootout. I couldn't conceal my snickering and had to tell her that said shootout was over 20 years ago and the bad guys had rifles. Tubby asked me to leave, which of course prompted more snickering. I gave the lady the # for a shop that will treat her properly and left. I may have made a fat comment on my way out.

I worked in sales, and one of the first things I learned was never to tell the customer what they wanted.

I gave up on it after the second installment. It was stupid AND boring. I didn't think it was possible for me to get bored with anything gun related.

I will take the cheesy production values and wooden presentation of Boddington and the fat guy on G&A TV any day.

Not having Showtime (or cable, period), I'm not familiar with this show, but going on your description alone it seems like anti-gun propaganda made with the intention of agitating to close the [so-called] "gun show loophole"...

Just my two cents...
