At one point, I had three dogs, all mutts. I stopped by the butcher shop and brought home three big beef leg bones and tossed them to the dogs.
A few minutes of bristling hair, flying spit, growling and barking, and one dog had all three bones cornered and was taking on all comers.
"I'll fix HIS little red wagon" I sez, and gathered up the bones, went to my bandsaw and cut them up into 30-odd little bone rings. Tossed them back to the dogs.
SEVERAL minutes of bristling hair, flying spit, growling and barking, and the same dog had all the bones and was taking on all comers.
Finally had to pick up all the bones and throw them in the trash...
Be careful when following the masses. Sometimes the M is silent.

My "puppy" is now over 35 lbs. She's no longer easily carried around. I still do it. When I get home, she runs up and jumps in my arms (I taught her that) Going to be an issue once she passes 70 lbs.

One of my friend's dogs that he used to hunt grouse and was trained to respond to hand signals.
Then one day his wife said "it is either me or the dogs" of which he had three or four. I haven't seen him since the mid 70's.
One day we were deer hunting in the Appomattox-Buckingham State Forest and here comes this guy with a fawn. Bill said " Why don't you put him in your hunting pouch?" Just another memory I will never forget.

In hindsight, you probably shouldn't have let a puppy do what you don't want a full-grown dog to do.
