Night classes at a community college or vocational school are pretty cheap and often have financial aid. Also, it allows you to find something in a different field. Or if you like the field just not the company stick it out and move. A dog can go with you and you can always get more firewood.

Seems like stickinging it out is the natural thing to do. But if you are not happy doing what you do, find what it is that will and work your way towards it. Don't burn any bridges.

When I was working(retired), I had what some refer to as "fire in the belly". I absolutely loved what I did. My job took me to every corner of the globe. I had experiences that many people can only dream about. I'm thankful for being able to have lived my life the way I wanted. But it was only because I had made decisions early in life that placed me where I wanted to be. Some of those decisions where very hard to make. And a few cost me alot $$$.
But in the end, it was all worth it and much much more my friend.
