I asked him once what happens when He tries to get busy with his wife and his response was she say's "don't touch me". I asked him what the hell ? he said he might get sex twice a year and he said he puts in on his calendar.

Sounds like one seriously b0rk3d relationship, but, if they're happy, who'm I to gainsay it?

Not a chance.

I trust my wife implicitly in this area but a big reason I trust her is because she: (i) recognizes that she is a fallible human and (ii) avoids situations where temptation could cause her to make a bad decision. Anyone who thinks they are beyond corruption, and therefore need not avoid temptation, is fooling themselves. I cannot imagine why someone would create a situation like that (I don't know what you could do to make cheating more likely) in their own home.

It's like saying I trust gravity so I will stand right on the edge of a cliff.

Well it's actually worse then what I thought, 16 years without any sex and no kissing hugging etc. he said he has stayed for the kids but it looks like that is all going to change. Eek even I'm shocked, he said a couple times a year to save face I guess. he knows now all he has been is a paycheck.

Had I not talked to him about this no one would have ever expected it, on the surface you would think they are the perfect couple...

Your friend ain't a fool. Where do you think he goes for that whole week?
He probably tells his wife, "Honey, let Bob stay another week. Heck, a month is fine." Wink

Hate to bring this up but, your friend might want to get paternity tests done just to confirm.

Perhaps you should recommend to your friend that he sleeps on the couch, so your wife's ex can sleep in his bed and be more comfortable.

I thought the same of one of my customers and this morning got an email that they're getting divorced after 34 years of marriage.

Most states have a pretty short statute of limitations to challenge paternity so it’s unlikely to make a difference legally. Plus, that only hurts the kids.

There’s nothing noble about that arrangement - he’s forefeited a big part of the only life he’ll ever live to set an example that is basically a huge lie.

It's exceedingly common and almost always a terrible idea that ends poorly for everyone.

sure , after I took out life insurance policies on them both .
then when I came home from work early one day and found them sharing the sheets
I'd go all temporary insanity on them with Mr.Tenmillimeter , then waltz my way to a major payday, woo hoo !

Agree with these 2.

XLT - Do you or your friend have Amazon Prime? If so, watch the movie Fireproof then buy the complementary 40 day challenge called Love Dare. Your friend’s marriage is hanging by a string and he needs to do something to practice unconditional love and go for true intimacy (one of the common reasons married guys get turned way from sex).

Not a chance that would happen. With that said, my wife's new boyfriend is the only one I trust. Of course he is a 8 lb. Shih Szu.

Sounds like the wife is not fulfilling her marriage vows. Does she go to church with him? Christian counseling seems to be in order.
