So a friend out of town calls and needs some money and I'm sending him a check along with some cash (to use while the check clears) $100 bill. and I decide to expedite this by sending priority mail... guaranteed two days.... and of course two days later no show... I go on line and check USPS tracking it made it to his post office and it seems that is as far as it got... for a week... finally gets to him.. In the mean time, two days ago, I mailed him another check (no cash) standard first class... anybody want to bet how long it takes for it to get to him... 90 miles away by the way? I would not have risked mailing cash when he was only 90 miles away. No bets so far on when the standard first class envelope I mailed on Tuesday would arrive? Well, I'll burst the bubble... it got there today. 2days regular mail... 1 week priority mail. Yep, I know it was stupid to mail cash in a special priority envelope and that was what was kind of getting my goat even though it was only a hundred bucks.... but it got there all be it a week later. Or the package of stuff I ordered, with 2 day shipping. Took 2 freaking weeks! Tracked it and saw that it was bouncing back and forth between 2 USPS facilities. I can't figure out why Amazon started using the USPS. They'll ship something UPS and then have UPS drop it off at your local post office and then it takes your local postal several days to get it to you. Last time I ordered something like this on a Friday with the standard Prime two day delivery the item came from the west coast in one day got to Charlot N.C. and then went to a post office and bounced around for a week....
