Paul maybe it was "standard" I used too, I can't recall the exact term. Regardless, after the flash the default was "A" which I certainly didn't want. I called them and was told they usually set the default to "A" but if I wanted it changed they'd be happy to do so just send it back. Well I wasn't going through that again so I just left it.
If you haven't made it clear already I would suggest contacting them just to let them know you wish "STD" to be your default.

Hmm... I wonder if that's the reason for the "binary" throttle on my VFR. It's as if the throttle is either ON or OFF; there's not much "easing into it."
