Slightly tangential to the original topic: There's a guy on another board I frequent (NOT gun related) whose entire habit seems to post "click bait" topics that on the surface seem oriented to board members ("Have you noticed the frammistat on the XYZ doesn't seem to conflate the same way it does on an ZYX?"). He rarely follows up on his posts and just moves on to his next inane topic.

I called him a post whore on one of his idiotic posts (he's submitted more than 8,000 posts in less than five months), so he promptly put me on his ignore list.

I beat him to it.

You can't truly call yourself "peaceful" unless you are capable of great violence. If you're not capable of great violence, you're not peaceful, you're harmless.

It’s a way for attention whores to get more of what they crave. You can warn them but scoldings are like a booster shot and they come back for more after it wears off.
