A hot, steamy shower is not the optimal venue in which to indulge one's urge to relieve gastric pressure resulting from dietary indiscretions.

Yeah, learned in boot camp, "Shit, Shower and Shave" is not literal nor a parallel operation.

But we had one guy who got two of them before they got rid of him.

Could that be described as a negligent discharge?

Had to spend a few seconds to understand what the OP was saying. Then had to spend a full minute to no avail trying to unsee the visual.

"It did not really matter what we expected from life, but rather what life expected from us. We needed to stop asking about the meaning of life, and instead to think of ourselves as those who were being questioned by life – daily and hourly. Our answer must consist not in talk and meditation, but in right action and in right conduct. Life ultimately means taking the responsibility to find the right answer to its problems and to fulfill the tasks which it constantly sets for each individual." Viktor Frankl, Man's Search for Meaning, 1946.

You aren't kidding one bit with that statement. Many years ago I learned first hand that a hot steamy shower is actually a Fart Amplifier, as in it amplifies the smell by several orders of magnitude. I have also resolved to never again top my Chili with sliced hard boiled eggs and onions.

I've stopped counting.

As a tangent to the topic I'll comment that few things in life go together quite as well as a fart and a wooden chair.
