Can't believe I bought this car with only 62,000 miles on it. And 31 days later, the passenger back window falls down the channel. Over $400 to fix. I guess it is very common in Buicks. Sure ticks me off. Obviously a design or just plain junk flaw.

The Regal was in production from '73 to '04 in the US

You have purchased a car at least 5 years old, and since you are happy that it had only 62K miles, I am going to guess the car is more like ten years old. Used cars break. Sorry you had a window problem. 400 bucks to fix it sounds high unless the window broke. Everyone gets unhappy when their car breaks....but a 'junk' or 'design' flaw? OK I guess...for all I know the previous owner replaced a window his kid smashed and did a lousy job on a 25 year old car

2001 Regal LS. Got it for $5500. Looked at another one for $6995. It had 20,000 more miles.

My evil ex has a 2000 model, and it has been a great car for her. Her's has the 3.8 V6, which I believe to be one of GM's best ever engines. Not sure about peripheral pieces and parts, but mechanically I think these were excellent cars.

Problem with GM regulators. My wife's 2001 Grand Prix back window regulator broke a couple years ago. $350 to fix. The clips that hold the cables break and can't be fixed. The whole regulator has to be replaced.

Prepare to have fun with the other windows as well, as houndawg said the regulators fail very quickly. Not to mention the window motors will start shredding the little nylon gears in them. If it makes you feel any better, the engine will most likely last longer than the car. The 3.8 is an awesome engine, very reliable.

Unless you bought it for target practice or the demolition derby you paid too much...
