I don't believe so. My order was placed early Saturday morning, around 2am and cancelled about two hours later. Shipping department doesn't move anything at that hour and not until Monday.

I received an email from customer service confirming my order was deleted Saturday morning. A stop order is usually done via computer, unless I'm mistaken.

The mix up is between MidwayUSA customer service and their shipping department...not with me.

BTW, the 20% restocking fee is on their website and in addition, I was being charged for shipping and hours later on their web site they now offer free shipping on orders over $99.

No, the shipping department doesn't move anything in that time, but then the shipping department person who is in charge of cancellations has to get to your cancellation, find the packing slip and then remove it if someone already grabbed the packing slip to pull the items, box them and ship them. But they're probably 2 different people and I doubt Midways warehouse is 1000 sq feet.

I've never had a problem with Midway and ordered a few things from them.

That situation is frustrating as hell but as others have said it happens to the best of us. I think if you call them and explain the situation they will make it right.
Let us know how the phone call goes.

I have used Midway for years, one of my go-to vendors, and never had an issue with them whatsoever. Count me as a loyal customer.

While it's true the trucks don't run til Monday, I believe they are a 24/7 operation for the warehouse (local to me) and they pick and pull stuff fast.

Sucks that it happened, but I bet an e-mail would help with a discount code or something on a future purchase.

I almost always pick up in-store, and they move so fast if I place it online and get in my truck, they'll have it ready by the time I get there. (30 minutes one way)

They didn't have it shipped, but I bet it was in a box and labeled to go.

I've had dozens of orders without complaint. Sorry to hear of your troubles, this wasn't perfect. However, it comes from the delay in trying to cancel an order, proper perspective would be more cognoscente of your part in this.

Since recovering from the out of sync responses they've addressed this pretty normal. I think that's a good review.

The twenty percent restocking fee can be declined since you have the email that says you successfully deleted the order. I would go through my credit card issuer for this.

It’s 100% self-inflicted. You canceled based on complete strangers not reliable reviewers like Sigforumites. MidwayUSA did nothing wrong and is trying to put genie back in the bottle after you let her out.

If Genie is Barbara Eden, don't put her back in the bottle. I'll take her.

Only if it's the version from before I was born.

So what did you buy and why did you change your mind? Cheaper price? Decided you didn't want it? Found a spare one in your closet?

Not to pile on, but I have had zero complaints other than the silly amount of SPAM they send me. They are one of the best and quickest out there.

Midway is a good supplier. Anyone can hit a snag at peak times. They are probably trying to get stuff packed and shipped at all hours, given the problems with shippers this holiday season.

Hopefully they'll straighten things out for you.

Surplus German Police heavy leather coats. GF saw one and decided we should order two, one for her son and one for me. Good price and great idea, until someone pointed out that a heavy leather coat doesn't get much wear if any in warm Southern Arizona.

So the order was placed, then cancelled a short time later.

BTW, I have a heavy leather German made motorcycle coat that I've worn a dozen times in 20 years and mostly in the cold Pennsylvania North East.

Been dealing with them for many years and never had a problem but then again never canceled an order after the fact.

Have had no problems with any order. I'm frankly surprised at the bad ratings. Did check BBB and they rate a Midway A+.

Another very satisfied MidwayUSA customer here. Was very surprised to see their name as a header in this part of the forum.

I understand the OP frustration but how about contacting customer service during regular business hours on the phone and letting them handle it.

Well.... drunk internet buying sprees at 2am are never going to end well. However, if you cancelled and they acknowledged the cancellation it becomes their problem by shipping after the fact. I suspect they will not charge a restocking fee if you have the cancellation receipt from them. The shipping they will eat as well. Return shipping is a bit more nebulous. Any issue, if they balk, should be handled easily through your credit card via a dispute. It's a mistake on both your parts. Certainly not worthy of a rant but they should not have shipped if they cancelled the order.

I suspect they will be reasonable on this. Give them a chance.

I'm shocked by how many complaints there are on Midway. I have multiple transactions and they've always been perfect for me. Furthermore, until now, I'd never heard a single bad word about them from anyone else. Wow. Thanks for the link too.

Well, they also have one complaint out of 220 reviews for TGS, and we know how unlikely that actually is to be legit. That'd be like Yelp users bitching about Mimi's - nope, don't believe it.
