You have a video store?

I didn't think they existed anymore! Big Grin

They're all over the place around here, they just all have the word "Adult" in front of "Video". Wink

I don't think Amazon offers those videos.

People still pay for those videos?

Apparently so, I don't think you'd see so many of those places staying in business if everybody was getting it for free.

Over the years, I've considered the use of deadly force twice at Wal-Mart or in their parking lot. Both times, the thugs backed off before I drew my weapon. Amazingly, that never happens at Amazon. Late, yes. Populated with assholes-maybe, but I don't see them. Or hear them. Or smell them.

Walmart.com is trying to compete with Amazon, but they aren't remotely there yet.

So spend your gas and time driving to wherever to pay as much more more if you like.

I'll continue to avoid the mouth-breathing, morbidly obese, and self absorbed masses whenever possible - and Amazon.com makes that possible. Big Grin

The fishy thing I spotted was I get a lightning deal notification for something on my wish list. I immediately click on the link and then it says the deal expired.

I've also ordered prime next day or prime two day and then soon as I hit the place order button, it changes to non-prime delivery. One time, I thought I just made a mistake so I tried ordering the same thing several times and each time, it would switch from prime 2 day to not prime delivery after I place the order.

But to be even handed about it, I like the free returns. I also always had problems resolved to my satisfaction. Except for one time I placed an order for something and only after I ordered did the newer and better model came up on my searches.

"It did not really matter what we expected from life, but rather what life expected from us. We needed to stop asking about the meaning of life, and instead to think of ourselves as those who were being questioned by life – daily and hourly. Our answer must consist not in talk and meditation, but in right action and in right conduct. Life ultimately means taking the responsibility to find the right answer to its problems and to fulfill the tasks which it constantly sets for each individual." Viktor Frankl, Man's Search for Meaning, 1946.

I had no clue Maine was that desolate. I can get to at least 15 different malls on $30 worth of gas (likely more than that). Heck some days for work I go to three or four different malls.

Here's the kick in the nuts for me I HATE malls and crowds, yet our work load in them this time of year doubles. So I'm forced to go during worst shopping days of the year and am not even buying anything.

Nearest Mall worthy of the name is in Bangor. 57.4 miles minimum, one way. 115 miles round trip at 15mpg is 7.67 gallons at $2.559 per works out to $19.xx so I over-estimated. 3 hours on the road on a good day.

Once you get North of Augusta, Maine is pretty sparsely populated (just the way I like it) and cities big enough to support a decent sized mall are DARN few and far between. In fact, I'm fairly certain Bangor is the only one. Small one in Machias, possibly one in Fort Kent.

Well since the extent of my knowledge about Maine comes from reading Stephen King novels, I'd say it's pretty limited. I wish I lived somewhere a little more remote though.

You can find that here in VA. It's an hour or so for me to get to a mall as well and I love it.

Prime photos, music, video, and Amazon Drive usage all make up for the $99.
2 day shipping is just a perk.
Plus with my Amazon Prime CC I get 5% cash back on all my Amazon purchases.

I'll be keeping on for quite some time.
