I love the rain, I really do, it is so beneficial, living in the desert like we do, we cherish every rain drop that falls...But dammit, I spent money at the gun shop on Friday, I want to take me P226 Conversion Kit to the fucking range and try it out. The range is a dry dusty place where it is very safe to shoot guns, unless it rains, then it is a mud pit. It rained late Friday night in to Saturday morning, and it has been raining for the last 30 minutes at least and continues to rain, the road in front of my house is flooded. So I am apparently not going to get to try out my P226 Conversion Kit today either. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrr Mad

Send it my way! It hasn't rained for 19 days, and I'm having to water the garden and some trees with the harvested rainwater. The pasture has flat stopped growing and it doesn't look like we'll get three cuttings this year. My FIL's corn and soybeans are beginning to look bad. Send the rain -- I'll shoot in the house!!

I don't mind it. Send it on!

Where I live, the middle of August is usually just hotter than the hubs of hell...but for the past number of days it hasn't been too bad. In fact, all summer it isn't been really bad.

I'll take cold anytime.

We'll take it. The Mississippi river here in St Louis went from massive flood stage to VERY low here.

The flood deposited a lot of sand and sediment in the channel and now it needs to be dredged. Barges are getting stuck.

Never any consistancy....

BG, I feel your pain. I wanted to go to our range in Levelland last week-end but had rained a couple of inches.

Whenever this happens, I remember what a pioneer of this area told me years ago. He said "you better be thankful when it rains 'cause it may be a long time before it rains again."

Hell in a couple of days it'll 95+, dry as hell, and you can shoot all you can aford.
