Ads are a real killer, especially if Ad Block is used. I have had the CPU fan spin up, memory usage spike and the CPU utilization peg at 100% for minutes. So, I found if I opened the Ad Block extension properties and toggled it off, the CPU and memory drop to normal in a few seconds, then I turn the block back on and all is good, until the next time. I'm right now configuring a Raspberry Pi Zero to run Pi-Hole on my network. It will intercept DNS requests for ads, acting as an ad blocker for everything on my net. And for under thirty bucks. I have my own style of humor. I call it Snarkasm. | |||
