anyone remember when flower came in pillow cases.
Folks used to buy that way,then dump in a five gallon used lard can.
We also bought lard ,five gallons at a time.
All families I knew back in the forties and fifties did the same.

A husband was shopping for his wife's birthday. Looking rather confused and unsure a nice pretty young thing offers to help. He explains and she asks "what kind of flower does your wife like?"

Grubs in your flour used to be a lot more common, too.
