If I hear the term "new normal" again....
I'll scream. Or do something far worse.

I'm convinced the Globalists, Socialists, Elitists, Communists, Leftists, Democrats, and all like cretins are chomping at the bit to install their WILL as a "new normal."

Screw them!

Only if we let it after the pandemic subsides.

Didn't that phrase originate during the Obama regime?

Yes, it did:

I'll see your "new normal" ... and raise you a "we will get through this together". Mad

Every time I hear a politician (fed, state, or local), government administrator, Public Service Announcement, radio/ TV promo, or even business commercial say "we will get through this together" my first reaction is to suggest something they can do together involving rectal-cranial inversion.

I'm not blind to the virtues of uniting together for a common cause...but that presupposes that this virus is as bad as many are panicked enough to believe and, despite what some would have us believe, I don't think " this is our World War II"... and I don't appreciate being lectured to or attempts to manipulate my calm reasoned way of approaching the emergency by invoking the "together" mantra.

Social distancing and stayhome#withme is our new normal for COVID-19 that will slow the spread and flatten the curve and we can get through this together if we adhere to CDC guidelines, including Dr. Fauci and Dr. Birx’s advice because this is our WWII.

Did I miss anything? Smile

One year ago we enjoyed 114 months of the Worlds leading economy. Today we are facing a lengthy Depression. The only words of wisdom from Washington D.C. is don't touch your face, wash your hands and practice Social Distancing. The politicians are treating unemployed Americans like elementary students.

I normally work in a large building with several hundred employees and it amazes me how many exit the restroom without washing their hands so maybe they have a point.

I heard this in the 1950s, when I was in the Navy:

A sailor and a marine were in the head. After peeing, the marine started to wash his hands and the sailor just started to walk out.

The marine said to the sailor, "In the Corps, they teach us to wash our hands after we piss."

The sailor replied, "The Navy teaches us not to piss on our hands."

LOL yeah, that's an oldy but a goody. There's another one from The Last Detail about Sailors not having to remove their covers to take a piss. Being a retired squid with a lot of Marine buds I appreciate the humor. If one of them is in the head when I'm taking a piss I'll always ask them for help, we laugh. Anyway, personally I don't like to fondle other peoples junk by proxy or directly if you're curious.

I got caught up on that one - once.

At work, I (retired USN) said something like that to a friend (retired Marine). We were messing with another gent in the bathroom who was never in the military.

A few days later, as my luck would have, I finished taking a dump and my Marine buddy was also in the bathroom and watched me closely as I washed my hands. As I was drying my hands he just looked at me and said, "well at least in the Marines we were taught to not shit on our hands."

I just laughed and shook my head. He got me there.

My "new normal" is going to become throat punching everyone that uses the term "new normal".

I've actually told 2 friends not to use the term while talking to me or in my presence.
