It isn't threaded all of the way to the end.
I will not accept my factory thread protector, which fits on my P226 9mm Sig factory threaded bbl.
I called where I bought the P239 bbl, and they looked at the remainder of their stock. All were like mine.
Also my Gem-tech Tundra will not thread onto it.
Any help or input would be appreciated.
Thank in advance.
M

Do you mean that the threads aren't threaded the full length or to the bottom or shoulder?
Will the protector and Gem-tech start on as in they are the same thread size and pitch but won't fully seat to the shoulder before binding on the un-threaded part of the Bbl.
The best thing would be to have the Bbl threaded all the way and another but not so good option is to ream/bore/remove the first thread or two as to allow the attachments to seat properly.

i hope I'm understanding your problem correctly.

Thanks.
Not threaded the full length. From the end of the barrel to the start of the threads is the thickness of a quarter (coin).

So your saying that there is no starting threads on the BBl?

Send me an email with a couple of pictures. The 13.5 x 1 LH thread which is the standard thread that Sig uses has an area in front of and behind the threaded portion with no threads but the diameter is less than the minor diameter of the threaded portion so the protector and the other unit should go on. I can dress up the end of the barrel for you so that it works. Email is in my profile.
