Removing Chrome Plating Login/Join

Any ideas of someone who could strip old chrome plating without damaging receiver markings? I got a pretty nice Krag that was at one point “prettied up” with chrome for a drill rifle I’m guessing. Got it at a good price, and aside from the chrome, it looks great, I’d like to get back to something more original if possible.

Thanks

I believe Chrome can be removed with chemicals, which wouldn't effect the stampings. Lye or muriatic acid remove chrome As well as reverse chroming.

Try Ford's plating in Florida. They do chrome plating, also removal here's their price sheet.
