Welcome to SIGforum. Pro-Mags have been discussed here many, many times. If you use the search function, you will find lot of good, or bad reading. Pro-Mag has set the standard below which No one can go. Their products are typically not marked. Now, if you manufactured a product, would'nt you put your name on it? Perhaps they are not proud of their work. You can polish a turd and you still have a turd. There is a saying around here, "Friends do not let their friends buy Pro-Mags". There are several reputable members here who sell factory Sig mags and I recommend that you stick with factory or Mec-Gar.

Wow. Your first post and you make two mistakes in the headline. As P-220 said, "Friends don't let friends buy pro-mags." And they are magazines not clips. The clip police will be along soon to read you your rights. Magazines have springs, clips do not.
Welcome to the Forum, by the way. Good people and good information here.

I would never use them for defensive purposes. I even skip them for practice. They do make great doorstops.

I ordered the mags for steel plate competition do to the fact in stock pistol your restricied to 10 rnds per mag. P220 mentioned Mec-Gar mags, does anyone on the forum sell these mags, can anyone contact me about Mags.
I called Sig today and they have 10 rnd. mags but they want $49.95 per mag. and $44.95 for three or more. Mec-Gar makes Sig mags, I was hoping for a better price. I was interested in buying 5 to 8 mags for the right price.

Those new mags are going to be a bit stiff. Load them and leave them for a few days, they will loosen up a bit. Deal with Top Gun Supply with confidence, they have a well earned reputation. I believe the only 10 round mags TGS sells are Factory Sig Sauer.

Pro Mag very very bad mojo. Worse that USA mags and they were notoriously bad. You will be pleased with TGS service, delivery speed and range of merchandise. I feel fortunate to have happened onto them and that sentiment is echoed by everyone one on Sig forum who has ordered from Tom and crew. First class all the way.

My slow humor....... If ya' order 'clips', you're gonna get pink & blue & yellow plastic 'thingies' for your hair! If ya' ordered 'magazines', ya' should get TV Guide, Playboy and hopefully not Gums & Ammo. You might also get those 'bullet holder magazines' that are not in any way related to 'clips'. (End of attempt at 'humor'.) P.S. --- You'll love Mec-Gar and if you search here on the forum, you find Tom at Top Gun and others who sell 'magazines'. Good stand-up folks abound here on SF.

Well I guess you now know they are called mags and not clips. Clips are what you use in a Garand. All will be fine with you mags. Mec-Gar are the standard when it comes to Sig mags and Tom at TGS is one of the best people to do business with. Enjoy your gun and good luck in competition.

Gentleman, My P220 Mags came today and to my dismay, all six of them would not eject from the gun. I proceeded to mic them and they were on the small side of the Pro Mags, measuring 1.374 in depth and .548 in width. My original 8 shot Sig Mags measured between.543 to .545 for width and 1.369 to 1.3725 for depth. I resorted to my wood vice and put the squeeze on them and got them to shoot out of the gun. The squeeze brought them to a depth of 1.373. My next challenge will be how they drop out of the gun when they are hot. I'll probably lay them and the Sig in the HOT SUN and then see if they drop before getting frustrated at the range.

Have you by chance checked the 220 to see if there is something causing the mags to hang? If factory mags don't drop it sure seems as if something is 'dragging'. Also, just a suggestion. When folks see 'ProMag' in the subject line, they simply skip by the topic. You might change it and ask for help with mag ejection. Hey guys / gals! ANY suggestions on this issue? Something BEYOND the mags is not right????

Might the grip screws be impinging upon the mags? too long? turned too tight? need washers/spacers? check screw depth/clearance as your 1st step--dmd

The original Mags from both 220 drop with no problem. I've taken a small flat file in the past with the (Pro Mags)and tried cleaning up the grip inside. I've tried lubricating the Mags and the grip area also. The grip screws have been checked and they're not a problem.

Interesting that the new one have problems since they are basically factory mags. I was going to mention the grip screws but you seem to have covered that. I also agree you may want to edit you title. There are some really smart Sig guys here that may just skip this thread. Problems with Mec-Gar mags may get you better mileage. Good luck.

My Sig Mags passed the direct sunlight for 15 minutes TEST. I said I would lay the gun and the Mags in the hot sun to see if they would still eject. The mags were so hot you couldn't hold them but they did eject like they should have. Next TEST using them on the range.
