Hi All,
I have a Sig SG-551 (West Coast Armory build) in .223 and I am shooting 12" low at 100 yards and the Sig Diopiter rear sight is maxed out for elevation. I have the matching globe front sight.I am using S&B .223, 55gr ammo. How much higher of a riser would I need to raise to rear sight? The rear sight has about .110" of total elevation adjustment, distance between front and rear sight is 19". Any help would be appreciated, Bill |

The 100m V notch is more of a QCB sight for short ranges. You either have to use the front sight hood as reference or you need to alligne the tritium dots.
Normally the rifle is zeroed at 200 or 300 meters with something similar to the SS109. The 200m setting is good for anything between 50 and 250 meters. Try to zero the rifle at 200yards. Check out the manual and look how the short range sight is used. regards, Daniel |
