questions 3 and 4 conveniently splits the pro-gun vote so it appears the antis are winning (though you add the pro vote and it is greater but perception is everything), tricky poll it is. I chose 4, after all, it may be difficult to CC a typical handgun that would be useful against a bear or other large animal.

It should not be allowed 37%

CCW should be allowed regardless of state law 15%

CCW and open carry should be allowed regardless of state law 31%

I voted for CCW and open carry regardless of state law. If you can CCW then why shouldn't you be allowed to open carry?

Thomas Jefferson, founder of the University of Virginia, recording the words of Cesare Beccaria: “Laws that forbid the carrying of arms . . . disarm only those who are neither inclined nor determined to commit crimes . . . Such laws make things worse for the assaulted and better for the assailants; they serve rather to encourage than to prevent homicides, for an unarmed man may be attacked with greater confidence than an armed man.”

MSNBC poll is spliting the votes of those supporting the right to carry.

You think there is method to their maddness.

You think anyone else will notice the ploy after a bit of "spin" is applied.

Typical liberal media coverage and slant.

With 272,000+ respondents, "It should not be allowed" is down to 6%.

I guess maybe the boys over at ARFCOM are on to this one. Wink
