The ACLU is a joke -

Is it worth a call or email to tell them they are nuts

Heller Decision and the Second Amendment

So, we’ve been getting a lot of comments about the ACLU’s stance on the Second Amendment. For those of you who didn’t catch our response in the blog comments, here it is again:

The ACLU interprets the Second Amendment as a collective right. Therefore, we disagree with the Supreme Court’s decision in D.C. v. Heller. While the decision is a significant and historic reinterpretation of the right to keep and bear arms, the decision leaves many important questions unanswered that will have to be resolved in future litigation, including what regulations are permissible, and which weapons are embraced by the Second Amendment right that the Court has now recognized.

As always, we welcome your comments.

Apparently the majority agrees with us. We shall see if their policy changes.

Another trenchant analysis from the "glass is half-empty" gang Roll Eyes So it's a reinterpretation? Not a reaffirmation?

Sounds like they're about to spam the courts with their contingency plans.

This is the United States of America. Disagree all you want. It is your right. It is also the peoples right to rise above the ignorance of the ACLU and the poor representation of that organizations values.

Being a fan of the quotations of famous people, I ran across this one quite a while back:

If you are not for ALL rights--speech, religion, the pursuit of happiness, and yes...that one to bear arms, you are for none.

The ACLU is only for liberties they like, not those the framers put forth seeing what they saw in oppressive governments.

I guess the amendment that the drafters chose to put SECOND should be overlooked, while the ACLU trumpets the "cruel and unusual punishment" horn of the EIGHTH.

Bunch of hippies!
