Oregon Dems proposed heavy gun restrictions
https://www.oregonfirearms.org...firearms-legislation

crazy restrictions introduced in state legislature.

No firearm purchases if under 21.

Extended background check delays to 30 days.

Safe storage law with civil liability for 4 years.

A “voluntary” ... “Do Not Sell” list. Allows a person to add his or her name to a list of people who may not buy firearms.

Strict liability on shooting ranges and shooters for rounds that leave the property and cause injuries. Allows the city or county where the range is located to be sued if city or county failed to regulate the range after they had notice that a “dangerous condition” existed.

Raises minimum age to purchase firearm or “firearm component” to 21.

Requires that a person who demanded your firearms be confiscated be informed if they are returned...part of red flag law.

Requires permit to PURCHASE firearm.

Bans mags over 5 rounds (mags over 5 rounds must be disposed of or surrendered to police).

Limits ammo purchase to 20 rounds a month.

Requires background checks for ammo purchases.

Imposes waiting period of 14 days for firearm purchases.

^^Read those again folks. 20 rounds PER MONTH AFTER A BGC.

That would essentially be the end of recreational/competitive shooting/public ranges in OR. and pretty much insure this is the last generation of shooters.

Mentioned this to a couple older gents in a sporting goods area at a store today and got the predictable 'That won't pass!' response. Libiots hold SUPERMAJORITIES in OR. IF these make it to the floor, they may very well pass. And it will spread from there.

Hopefully this will wake some of the Fudds and moderates to what's really going on here. The extremists aren't going to stop...

There's a rally in 4 days...for Oregonians, it might be worth taking the day off of work.

These new laws are so off the charts that they made Tucker Carlson Tonight @ 25:30 mark. Good points made.

Darn it, they removed Rep. Bill Post (R-Salem, and a good guy) from the House Committee on Judiciary, because of an "inappropriate tweet" when he invited gun-rights groups to a gun-control rally at the capitol with the words, "be ready, be there."

Um, SB501 is in the committee that Bill Post was removed from. Now we're not well represented there.

Copying a lot of proposals that in my former state of New York actually stand a good chance of passing! So glad I moved to a solidly red state ( at least for now- many Californian transplants showing up here now!

this may or may not be accurate on the future of the gun bills in Oregon, but it's worth a listen.

Dems are starting to worry about doing too much all at once, which is interesting, considering they have a super majority, and an anti-gun governor.

Gotta like last year's bill that got passed, and the governor signed with much fanfare. If you don't show up for your gun rights forfeiting hearing, the required hearing has not taken place, and you keep your guns.
