Arnie passed it. He didn't just not veto it - he passed it. For details see http://sigforum.com/eve/forums...40601935/m/166107361

He actually, quite proudly, gave his reasons for signing it. I am so glad I live where I do.

Yeah, that new law will make the subjects in Kalynfornya feel safer. NOT!

Come on out, brother, the water's fine. By the way, how would you like to legally be able to buy an AR with a detachable mag, an SBR, a suppressor or something in full-auto? You can join the rest of us refugees waiting comfortably for the Jaded State to implode - so we can go back and pick up the pieces.

Welcome! We don't have perfect gun laws, but they're pretty damn good and getting better.

Yet another reason to hate the state of California. The more I think about it the more I wish California was no longer a part of the Union.

LMFAO

I am sure the gangsta's and all other criminals in the Republik of Kalifornia will immediately start complying and crime will drop right?

I mean the LA Bank shoot out with the guys that had the full autos....they complied with KA gun laws right? I mean all those converted AK's and H&K's were legal right?

The truly fun part of this is the KA gun owners that JUSTIFY all the past gun laws in KA...and attempt to lesson the impact of insane laws such as the one Arny just signed. When are they going to learn that your ONLY option is to pack up, and MOVE out of the state? Once you move you will find freedoms that you do not know how much you missed. CA citizens sold their souls......If all CA gun owners packed up and moved....it would detroy the state overnight. Businesses would be forced to close, tax revenue would DROP to the point where all CA lawmakers would be saying "WTF are we going to do now?"\

I just wish some had a set of balls to actually leave....but instead we hear "but I've lived here all my life".....or "the weather is awesome".... or "no other place can match my income". Guess what?????? It is not about living there all your life...it is not about the weather....nor an overpaid job ...it is about BASIC FREEDOMS.

So if CA gun owners want to stay....well...don't bitch ....you can control it....but refuse to do so. You got what you voted for. PS....and I know CA has very conservative people....but when those people finally have enough...and leave....it will destroy the state overnight....then and only then will the CA govt understand

what a fucked up state

Problem is it is a springboard for all these other pinko politicos to have an excuse to adapt these kind of laws.Next will be adjoing states as Kalifornia will complain they are bringing in unauthorized ammo. I was born in that state when it was free, long time ago, moved out in 74,had the chance to go back and saw what it was becoming, no thanks. Bill

Yes I have.

I was stationed there for 5 years. I was a legal resident of another state during that time. I was there when the assault weapon ban was passed in '89. I was also a member of the San Diego Fish and Game range where I listened to numerous "gunners" talk about how evil assault weapons were and they were glad they were being banned since it didn't affect them.

I also watched numerous gun ranges such as the public range on Kitchen Creek shut down due to poor shooter conduct. I frequently volunteered to clean up that area with buddies during that time period prior to it being shut down.

CA is heading toward a total ban on all firearms....all the people putting up with the death by a thousand cuts strategy are foolish for staying there. Now is the time to leave....it truly would destroy the state of CA government with tax revenue losses.

Money talks.

I was also stationed there for a year. I was first in my class and was able to chose between Japan, east coast or west coast. While a choice of west coast does not always mean California in the Marines it is a pretty safe bet that it will be. I chose east coast. I couldn't stand another day in California. I also turned down a very nice promotion because it would mean moving to California and I wasn't willing to give up my freedoms for a job. This pisses me off because I still work for a company based there and spend a good deal of time in Cali. I usually rent a gun and shoot on the weekends if I am not working so looks like that may go away since I aint about giving up my fingerprints to buy a box of ammo.

I feel bad for you all out there, and I know that moving isn't as easy as saying it. But if I were you I would be looking very hard for a way out.

Good luck.

I would just have to say that telling all the gun owners of Calif. that leaving is their only option is an unrealistic demand. The current economy does not allow it. You are telling them that they need to sell there houses at a loss and try to find work in an unfavorable market for a pay rate that cannot be matched by the majority of the other states. You are telling them that they have to give up everything they have just so they can send a message to an already bankrupt state that they are not happy about some gun control legislation. They will be homeless and jobless, but at least they will be able to by ammunition with no restriction...If only they had money. No, They need to stay there and fight the good fight. the people of California voted these law makers into office and they need to vote them out if they want change. I'm pretty certain from the banner at the bottom of your posts that you did not vote for Obama but I don't see you moving to some other country. To all of you who live in California, hang in there. I lived in So Cal from 1962 until 1993 and it breaks my heart to see the state become so liberal because I still consider California home and I hope the best for you.

Regards.
